Support for Orbital: 24-Hour Routine on iPhone.
Questions, bug reports and feature requests are all welcome at ifdouglas@icloud.com. Please include your iOS version and, if it helps, a screenshot — replies usually arrive within a few days.
How do I open Settings?
Pull the main screen up. Settings slide in from the bottom of the dial. There is no
gear icon and no tab bar — the dial is the whole app.
How do I add a block?
Tap the dial, or tap the “add something” link on a card. Name the block, set when it
starts and ends, then tap “Add to day”. Tap an existing block to edit or delete it.
What is the difference between a weekly block and a single date?
A block with “Repeat weekly” on happens on that weekday every week. With it off, it
happens only on the date you created it.
Why aren’t my calendar events showing?
Open Settings, connect the account under Calendar sync, and make sure the specific
calendars you want are selected. All-day events are deliberately not drawn on the dial,
since they have no start or end time to place.
Why don’t imported events send reminders?
Reminders are only sent for blocks you create in Orbital. If you edit an imported
event, it stops following the calendar and becomes your own block.
Why are sunrise and sunset wrong?
Orbital uses default times until you tell it where you are. Under Settings → Sunrise &
sunset you can either use your location or simply type a city name, which needs no
location permission at all.
I’m not getting notifications.
Check that “Enable reminders” is on in Orbital’s Settings, and that notifications are
allowed for Orbital in the iOS Settings app. iOS caps scheduled notifications at 64 per
app, so on very full weeks the furthest-out reminders may not be scheduled.
Where is my data stored?
On your device. There is no Orbital account and no Orbital server. See the
privacy policy for the details.
